Parking Options

There are a number of parking options for the Martin Center with options for drop-off at the Martin Center and parking a little farther away.

ETSU Parking Garage

Located at: 1043 Jack Vest Drive, Johnson City, TN 37614

To park in the ETSU parking garage, turn onto Jack Vest Drive from State of Franklin Road, across from the VA campus entrance.



The parking garage is on the left. Please use the crosswalk at the traffic light at the corner of State of Franklin Road and Harris Drive to cross the street.



Visitor parking permit required M-F, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Brinkley Center’s Parking Garage

(formerly ETSU Millennium Center Parking Garage)

Located at: 2004 Millennium Place, Johnson City, TN 37604

From State of Franklin Road, turn onto Millennium Blvd., then turn left onto Millennium Place. The parking garage will be on the right behind the hotel. Levels 3-6 are designated for ETSU and The James and Nellie Brinkley Center visitors.

Upper levels of the Brinkley Center’s Parking Garage are closed from 11:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m. daily and on weekends except for special events. Levels 1-2 are reserved for Carnegie Hotel patrons only.

From State of Franklin Road, turn onto Harris Drive (immediately past Bank of Tennessee). Accessible parking is on the right, near the northwest corner of the Martin Center. Please follow signs for facility entrance at the front of the building.

Limited accessible spaces are available at this location, but additional accessible parking is located in each parking garage.

For some events, a shuttle may be available to transport patrons from the Martin Center accessible parking area to the security entrance. For more info or to request accommodations, please email info@ETSUMartinCenter.org.

Parking is FREE for the ETSU Martin Center. There are a number of event parking options available: 

  • ETSU Parking Garage located next to the ETSU Mini Dome. The address for this garage is: 1043 Jack Vest Drive, Johnson City, TN 37614.
  • Brinkley Center Parking Garage (formerly Millennium Center Parking Garage) located behind the Carnegie Hotel on levels 3, 4, 5, and 6. The address for this garage is: 2004 Millennium Place, Johnson City, TN 37604.
  • Parking is also available on ETSU Campus in lots 21, 22, 26 & 27, after 4:30 pm, M-F.*
  • ADA-accessible parking and designated ADA drop-off is located adjacent to the Martin Center in Lot 55, accessible via Harris Drive West, behind the Bank of Tennessee building (notated with a gold star on the map above). For most events, a shuttle will be available to transport patrons from this spot to the security checkpoint at the front. After the event, the ADA shuttle pick-up will be outside the West lobby door, the side door by the elevators and closest to Bank of Tennessee. 
  • ADA-accessible spots are also located in the Brinkley Center Parking Garage (formerly Millennium Center Parking Garage). There is an elevator in the garage. The walkway from this garage to the Martin Center is covered.
  • PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN BUSINESS LOTS LOCATED NEAR THE MARTIN CENTER DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Those are privately owned spaces, and your vehicle may be subject to towing.

Directions & Printable Directions

From Kingsport, Bristol and Knoxville:
Starting at the intersection of I-81 and I-26, take I-26 East toward Johnson City. Take Exit 19—turn right on State of Franklin Road. Go about 5 miles—the Martin Center is on the left prior to the ETSU pedestrian walkway.

From Tri-Cities Airport:
Turn left on Hwy 75. Go approximately 10 miles and turn left onto I-26 East toward Johnson City. Take Exit 19—turn right on State of Franklin Road. Go about 5 miles—the Martin Center is on the left prior to the ETSU pedestrian walkway.

From Jonesborough and Greeneville:
Take US 11E North to Johnson City—US 11E becomes West Market Street in Johnson City. Turn right at the traffic signal at State of Franklin Road. Drive 1.4 miles to the Martin Center on the left prior to the ETSU pedestrian walkway.

From Elizabethton:
Starting from Elk Ave/State Hwy 67/US 321 in Elizabethton, drive west toward Johnson City. From the I-26 overpass, continue about 2 miles to the traffic signal at W State of Franklin Rd. Turn left at the traffic signal. The Martin Center is approximately .5 mile on the right immediately after crossing under the ETSU pedestrian walkway.

From Unicoi, Erwin and Asheville, NC:
Take I-26 to Johnson City. Take Exit 24 for University Parkway (US-321/TN-67). Turn Left onto University Parkway/State Hwy 67. Drive on University Pkwy for approximately 2 miles.  Turn left at the traffic signal on W State of Franklin Rd. The Martin Center is approximately .5 mile on the right immediately after crossing under the ETSU pedestrian walkway.
